Some Westerns - specially governments - refuse Hijab , but in the same time the say they respect freedom and other religions ! , My Hijab is my freedom .. my religion .. and my choice , They mean : when you cover your body - which protects you from the eyes of others and keeps your dignity - it's not acceptable but when you where mini shorts which show your body you're a wonderful free person ! , Their attempts against hijab won't work and insha'a Allah all of us will keep our hijab

The French president was recently talking about this issue as well, and is trying to implement a burqa ban by saying it oppresses women.
Hopefully it won't be carried out!
Abaya and amanis is also referred to as a cloak by people who see women that are dressed in it as it is very long and flowing and truly resembles a cloak.
